The first of hopefully many in an intended series of MMOBA-style hero-studies. I often do silhouette studies as to build my form language before moving onto detailed sketches of characters or environments; but its can also be a invaluable to do figure studies for the shake of discovering character expression through design/outfit and pose.
I tried to create five distinct heroes that could fill the roll of antagonist or protagonist. Each ideally has a distinct profile that could be identified in a fast-paced combat situation on screen - with a unique "attitude" to their design that also speaks to the role they would fulfill on a team (i.e. Control, Jungle, ADC, Tank, Healer).
This one was a ton of fun to do! And because of how quick the turn-around for silhouette studies can be, I hope to do a few more teams to fill out this shadow-roster I've stared.
